Ohio Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame
John Timmons '82 was an All-America selection in both cross country and track. He led the Bishop cross country team to 4 NCAA regional appearances and competed in 2 NCAA Division III championship meets, placing 15th nationally his senior year after winning the Great Lakes Regional and Ohio Athletic Conference championship meets. In track, he placed sixth in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III championship meet his senior year. Earlier that season, he won both the 5000 and 10,000-meter runs at the OAC championship meet, the first time in OAC history that double had been accomplished. He was a 4-year letterman in both cross country and track.
