Joe Groscost placed in the diving event at the Ohio Athletic Conference swimming championship meet during each of his 3 seasons.  As a sophomore, he was part of the winning team in the diving event at the OAC Relays.  Groscost won the diving event in 3 dual meets that season and finished fifth at the OAC championship meet.  As a junior, he won the diving event in 2 dual meets and again placed fifth at the OAC championship meet.  His senior year, he won the diving event in 4 meets, and moved up to fourth in the OAC championship meet.
