Molly Hewes '90 was a two-time North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year selection as a goalkeeper in women's soccer. She moved right into starting goalkeeping job as a freshman and set Bishop records for saves in a game (31) and season (213) as the team posted a 6-6-2 record, its highest win total in history, and placed third in NCAC, also its best to that point. She was named NCAC Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore after posting the second-highest saves total in Bishop history (193) and tying the school mark for shutouts (5) while the team went 6-3-5. She repeated as NCAC Player of the Year as a junior after leading league goalkeepers with a 0.72 goals allowed average and an OWU-record 10½ shutouts as the team jumped to 13-3-2 and third in the NCAC. She racked up 189 saves and 4 shutouts as a senior as Bishops claimed their first NCAC co-championship with a 7-1 mark and went 16-3 overall. She set career records for saves (723) and shutouts (32½).
