Kevin McGurn '98 was a 2-time All-America goalkeeper in men's lacrosse, helping the Bishops to a 27-6 record in 1997 and 1998.  He transferred to Ohio Wesleyan and served as backup during his sophomore year, seeing action in 8 games.  He took over the starting spot as a junior and was a second-team All-NCAC and honorable mention All-America selection after ranking second in the NCAC in saves percentage (.661).  His 241 saves that season was the second-highest season total in the Bishop record books.  He made 27 saves against Denison (OWU's fourth-highest single-game total) and had a career-high 30 saves in an NCAA quarterfinal game at Denison, the second-best single game total in OWU history.  As a senior, he was a second-team All-America and first-team All-NCAC pick after compiling 208 saves and a saves percentage of .627.  He finished his Bishop career with 481 saves and a .640 saves percentage, the latter ranking fifth on the OWU career list.  Ohio Wesleyan advanced to the national semifinals in both of his years as the starting goalkeeper.
